PROGRAM OUTLINE

The program is designed to take place over one calendar year and will give participants a chance to network, gain first-hand experience in the field, improve their craft, and share their experience with the community.

The first cohort of mentees will be announced in January 2020. The program will officially launch in February, at the third annual CCE EditCon, where mentees and mentors will mix and mingle at a special introductory event.

Over the course of the year, mentees will visit their mentor’s place of work to see them in action. Depending on their placement, mentees will be given opportunities to get feedback from their mentor, either for their own work, or for special assignments they complete during the mentorship.

The program will conclude late in 2020, as the holiday season arrives. Participants will submit a brief write-up about their experience, and everyone will gather alongside other CCE members for a farewell reception, where they will be presented as official graduates of the mentorship program.
