...............................................................................................
Thursday, May 15, 2008; 5:35 AM

The Canadian Cinema Editor (C.C.E.) honour society is an alliance of editors who wish to promote and advance the craft of editing. There are unions and guilds that already attend to the needs of employment and work place rights. Instead, the C.C.E. means to foster an understanding of the process of editing in all formats from theatrical filmmaking to new media. It also means to be a place where editors can share their experiences, encourage each other in the pursuit of excellence and recognize those in the editing community who exemplify the very best of their craft.
As a honour society, we not only deisre to communicate with other professional disciplines within Film, Television and New Media, but also with those who wish to become editors, either through individual initiative or through formal educational institutions.
One of the principal goals of the C.C.E. is to make apparent what constitutes exceptional editing, not only to ourselves, but also to those who rely on us to help make their programs as memorable as possible.
It is time now to unveil the mysteries and wonders of the editing room.
