2012 Elections: New candidates
New candidates running for election this year:
Jason Hujber has been an editor for over 15 years and is one of the owners of Gloo Studios in Burnaby, BC. He is running as a candidate for Membership Chair of the CCE Board.
“The one thing I have noticed in my short association with the CCE is that there is a definitive strong desire within the organization to grow the Vancouver chapter, so it seems the most logical sense that as an editor working in the Vancouver area I would be a formidable candidate for the position of Membership Chair. Last year I chaired a Gemini Editing Jury and was greatly rewarded by the experience of finding and meeting some fellow editors on a joint venture, and that seems to be exactly what the position as Membership Chair would entail: Finding ways to grow an organization of talented individuals and provide professional incentives to promote the benefits of joining”.
Kelly Morris is an editor with 20 years of experience in both film and television, currently based in Vancouver. He is running for the position of Secretary of the CCE board.
“I’d like to announce my interest in running for the position of Secretary. I have previous board experience as Vice Chair at Charles Street Video in Toronto, and am aware of the workings of a board. I feel my organizational skills will lend themself to keeping the business of the CCE on track, as well as keeping good minutes of the meetings, and taking care of important dates and the calender. I have 20 years as an editor in Canada, in both Television and Film, and would like to bring this same dedication to the role of secretary.”
If you would like to run for a position on the board, please submit your name, position interested in running for and a brief blurb about why you think you would be a good Board member to as soon as possible to: info@cceditors.ca
